When we had decided to put our house on the market, a few of our friends were ahead of us and had already listed with local Realtors. We took a chance and chose Brandon to sell our home because of his tenacity and his ‘plan’ to seek out buyers. The housing market had just gone from good to bad in a few short months and there were over 400 homes in our area in the same price range as our home. Brandon did a video virtual tour of our home and property and we started seeing instant results from our listing. Meanwhile, our friends that were also selling their homes were dealing with frustration over the lack of communication with their Realtors. Brandon kept us updated with every visit and even gave us feedback from every showing. He did multiple open houses, but the true lure was the virtual tour, which brought in several ‘out-of-town’ shoppers. Brandon helped me buy and sell a house. We were able to get an offer to buy accepted on the contingency that my house would sell, the agent for the house we were buying didn’t believe it would sell for what we were asking. We were referred to Brandon by a friend just when we were about to give up on realtors who just didn’t get what we were looking for. “By mid-2008 the Bellingham Kiteboarding community had grown to the point that we needed secure, guaranteed access to Locust Beach, just north of Bellingham. We knew about the half-acre lot with a metal pole-building that’d be perfect, but it wasn’t for sale. That’s when we called Brandon.
Within days, Brandon had approached the land-owner and established a fair market price, arranged for us to meet face to face, and had basically created an opportunity for us to buy the property.
Instead of an outright purchase, though, we wanted a “Try Before You Buy” scenario and shared these thoughts with Brandon. He negotiated with the owner for a lease/option contract, and we got the exact terms we wanted. We then had an 8-month window to see if it was everything we hoped.
By the time we decided it was perfect for us, obtaining financing for land had become extremely difficult and expensive, so we told Brandon we needed owner-financing. In no time, Brandon had arranged another meeting with us and the seller along with a group of her friends, where he presented an entire outline of how owner-financing works, the pros and cons for each party, and why in our situation is was a total win/win for everyone. He’d prepared folders for each of us with bullet-pointed lists so we could all be “on the same page” throughout the presentation. By the end, the owner agreed wholeheartedly to grant our request and finance the purchase.
We closed on the sale less than a month later, and the property has allowed the Bellingham Kiteboarding community to continue to grow without fear of losing beach access or parking. Brandon was an integral part of the purchase from start to finish, and we’ll never buy or sell any real estate in Whatcom County again without Brandon as our Realtor.

My wife and I recently returned to Bellingham after spending five years away. Having always lived in rental properties, we were mulling over the possibility of moving into a home when we moved back.
