Exclusive: Lake Whatcom

A short while back, I approached my friend Mischa Burnett and his brother Damon — both local educators — to help me find a student writer.

Enthusiasm, I told them, was the main qualification, and the subject matter would be a few select Bellingham resources. 

Damon immediately recommended an English student of his, Kristin Huggins.

Approached with the idea, Kristin had two words: “Game on!”

On her first assignment for the blog, Kristin put together this exceptional report (located HERE) about Lake Whatcom. It  may very well be destined for Wikipedia’s “Greatest Ever” but for now it’s published exclusively on NWWayofLife.com!
