Bellingham Video: Is Climate Change a Hoax?
In a recent edition of the Bellingham Herald newspaper, a story ran that had me scratching my head. You can read the full story HERE, but to summarize:
- 1500 American adults were asked whether there is significant scientific evidence that climate change is taking place.
- 43% said, “No.”
- Of the 57% that said “Yes” they were then asked whether human-caused pollution was a major factor.
- 67% said, “No.”
I just HAD to head out with the video camera and ask the good people of Bellingham, on Railroad Avenue right in front of the Bagelry, on the coldest, wettest day of the year so far, what they thought. As usual, the result is guaranteed to get you thinking (and make you wonder)!
Check out the video, then share your thoughts in the comment section below!!! Oh, and be sure to catch the “bottom line” right after the credits roll!!!

Good stuff Bellinghamsters! Keep up on the awareness of our impact on this planet (our planet). And I must say, that this video was nice to watch; no bouncing around; nice camera work!
Hey, the little dude has a point. Resource depletion is a major factor, and higher energy prices due to peak oil could cause an economic collapse that leads to greatly reduced fossil fuel use. A crystal ball would be helpful here…barring that, better to err on the side of caution as the consequences are somewhat horrible and permanent. If we reduce fossil fuel use enough to mitigate climate change it would be enough that it would also cause serious economic problems (i.e. hmmm….viable planet long term vs. jobs short-term)…so, you have to ask yourself…do you feel lucky? Do ya?
