Downtown Bellingham Video: Is the Recession Over?

A few months ago I was reading the latest issue of Inc Magazine when I saw a Q&A that stuck with me. Inc asked a panel of entrepreneurs, “What event will mark the end of the recession?”

One guy’s answer was easy to remember: “When the Dow Jones hits ten-thousand,” he wrote. And as soon as I read it, I decided that when the big day eventually happened, I’d hit the street and ask the people of Bellingham if indeed it meant the recession was over. Well today was the day!

Some great answers to be sure. And for our first time out, these folks have inspired to keep up with this project, heretofore known as “NW Street Views!”

What strikes me as AWESOME is how willing people were to talk about this issue. Young and old alike, everybody we approached talked to us (my buddy Tyler Byrnes was camera man!) This is going to be a fun, ongoing project throughout Bellingham and Whatcom County.
